Tim, You said you would be happy if we took one thing away from the camp. Here's mine: through your demonstrations, you are obviously very informative when you're working a game. A collision between batter and catcher: "THAT'S NOTHING," a dropped third strike: "NO CATCH." In other words, when it doesn't help either side, you are quick and loud to defuse any confusion. Umpires tend to restrain their comments because they don't want to risk helping a team, or perhaps they think it's the players' and coaches's jobs to figure things out. From your instruction, though, being informative at the right time is the key to limiting confusion and subsequent emotions that put you square in the anger management process. That's my lesson; learn when to be informative on the field so that I don't have to put out coaching fires later.
